BonesGarage
(1998-2000): mostly originals with selected old-school covers.
Formed in 1996 by former Damien
members bassist Kevin Kekes and drummer Rob Brug, they invited Jaytee
to join in 1998 and began an exhaustive local touring and songwriting
schedule. It was, by far, the heaviest music Jaytee had sung
in her long career. Jaytee called it “primal scream therapy”.
The song “Crushing Faith” was selected for inclusion
on two compilation CDs, Detroit's
Jam Rag Family Album (1999) and SinKlub's
Toledo Exposed III (2000). Read the official press release here.
MEMBER UPDATES: Kevin performed with Damien for 16
years, and has recorded several albums for Leviathan
Records with guitar virtuoso David
T. Chastain, Southern
Gentlemen, and Vainglory. Since departing his most recent band Fetish Doll, where he joined his Damien expatriots Randy
V. and Johnny Cappelletty, he is recording an album of his own music. Rob, who took center stage as guitarist in his other band, Hester Prynn, is beating the skins for Detroit's Heavy Metal Horror Show Halloween.
